Service Description

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic and structured style of yoga that follows a set sequence of postures, linking movement with breath in a continuous flow. Here are the key aspects of Ashtanga yoga: Set Sequences: Practitioners follow a specific sequence of poses in a precise order, starting with the Primary Series and progressing to more advanced series as they develop. Breath and Movement (Vinyasa): Each movement is synchronised with an inhalation or exhalation, creating a flowing, meditative practice. Bandhas and Drishti: Incorporates the use of internal energy locks (bandhas) and focused gaze points (drishti) to deepen concentration and control. Progressive Practice: Practitioners master each pose and series progressively, moving on to the next only when ready, ensuring a gradual and safe development of strength and flexibility. Daily Practice: Traditionally, Ashtanga is practised six days a week, with rest days and observance of moon days. Overall, Ashtanga yoga is a disciplined and rigorous practice that builds physical strength, flexibility, and mental focus through its structured and progressive approach.
